I want to be inspiring to people, I want to make a difference in peoples’ lives
I’m sick of being the smart, quiet girl who sits in the back of the class, getting good grades; because I am so much more than that!
I’m tired of fantasizing about making a stand, I actually want to do it.
If anyone has heard of Rachel Scott, Rachel’s Challenge or Friends of Rachel, let me know.
I had it in 6th grade, then I moved to a different school that didn’t have it, and now I’m in high school and we have it again, but it’s different now, it just seems to be about money, not making a difference.
For those of you who don’t know, Rachel Scvott was the first person to die in the Columbine shooting, she was a girl who wanted to make an impact on the world, she didn’t back down to bullies, she defended people and always stood by anyone who needed a friend. She was a normal girl with big dreams to change the world. Rachel’s challenge is a way for others to make a difference too.
I want to me like her, I don’t want to be just another face; I want to make a difference.
And I know I’m not the only one.
We don’t need to be well-known or well-liked, we just have to be determined!
“These hands will make an impact on the world.”
~Rachel Scott
